Tough Rookie

Some athletes are tougher than others. Some have a higher pain threshold than others. Then there is NHL rookie sensation Conn Kushin. This guy will do anything to win. He will always be first into a corner and take a hit do so. He will dive in front of pucks without fear. He will run at any opponent at top speed without regard to the consequences.

At yet, some how, some way, Conn seems to avoid serious injury. It's like he's made of rubber. His bones don't break. His muscles don't tear. His skin doesn't cut. He just keeps on ticking.

Some people in the medical community seem to think that sooner or later all these hits and collisions will take its toll on Conn Kushin. And one person who agrees is none other than his mother Connie Kushin. "I worry about Conn," she said. "I can't put my finger on it, but there just seems to be something different about him since he started playing at the pro level." As this Spycam picture below shows, she may be onto something.
