![]() J U N I O R S U R V E I L L A N C E - February 1, 2007![]() One of our most reliable agents has uncovered a story about a fierce bidding war going on amongst a half dozen major junior teams for the services of a much heralded junior coach. His name is Jules Winnfield. These junior team operators are apparently offering six figure, multi year deals to get Winnfield to turn their franchises into consistant winners. His methods are different, but his long running history of success is legendary. Current NHL ironman Chris Chelios is just one of his former pupils. The front runners appear to be the Vancouver Giants of the WHL and the Peterboro Petes of the OHL. A decision is likely to be made soon, but won't be announced until the media convene this spring for Memorial Cup week. Here's a link that our agent sent in to give you a sneak preview of Jules Winnfield. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8s6aid04pw Send your story to hockspy@hotmail.com and we will pass them on to our readers in a future installment of Junior Hockey Surveillance.
