![]() J U N I O R S U R V E I L L A N C E - February 22, 2007![]() Most junior hockey players would love to have a chance to play in the under 17 tournament. Every year the top hockey nations send their teams over to compete with Canadian regional teams. Almost every year. This is one of those years when the format is different. This is the year of the Canada Winter Games. This year the games are being held in the Yukon. I guess Santa had the North Pole rink fully booked, so this is the next best choice. Imagine being lucky enough to make an under 17 roster, only to learn that the teams from foreign countries can’t compete this year. What a let down. Some of these kids must be wishing they could be 17 twice. Sorry boys, only women can pull off that kind of a trick. They usually wait until they hit 39 to start those tricks. But that’s another story for another day. Here’s the link to the Winter Games hockey event: http://cwg2007.kimik-it.gl/Result/Event_PO_T_T.aspx?Event_GUID=b532134d-18c5-4995-b1af-09b6ab7d4a23 Send your story to hockspy@hotmail.com and we will pass them on to our readers in a future installment of Junior Hockey Surveillance.
